Due to the perishable nature of our products, A Bountiful Harvest Designs does not accept returns, or offer exchanges or refunds. We do not accept any returns on any products or merchandise sold through any outlet, regardless of type of product.
In our effort to comply with FDA regulations on Bio-terrorism, we cannot accept returns on any food product. These regulations are designed to ensure a clear, traceable path on all food items from producer to consumer. We thank you for your understanding and we regret any inconvenience this may entail.
Please note that all items are inspected before shipping and leave our facility in perfect shape. If you receive a product that has been damaged during transit please contact our office by calling 423-876-1922 within 24 hours of receipt for instructions on filing a damage claim with the shipping carrier. You MUST KEEP ALL PACKAGING, INSIDE AND OUT as well as THE ENITRE CONTENTS for UPS inspection. All Claims MUST be reported within 24 hours of receipt.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the increasing temperatures around the country we are no longer able to ship our chocolates, chocolate items, baskets containing chocolate or fruit via UPS Ground. Consumer please be aware that if Ground shipping is selected your shipping charges will be adjusted to NEXT DAY AIR Upgraded Shipping Charges with heat safe packaging (please see Heat Safe Packaging Costs below) resulting in these additional charges being charged to your credit card separately. A Bountiful Harvest nor UPS provides any insurance against heat damage to products and this type of damage does not qualify for a refund. These products are shipped at the customers own risk as they are highly perishable in nature.
ALL perishable items will be shipped with special heat safe packaging to protect them during shipping. There is a $8 -$12 Heat Safe Packaging Fee depending on the size of the package and shipping destination. Some areas require more ice packs, charges will vary according to temperatures at time of shipment.
Please note that all of our chocolates, cakes & cookies are handmade fresh to each order. We make every attempt to fill all orders within a week or so of placement; HOWEVER, the turnaround time for filling orders varies depending on volumes, the items ordered, season, holiday or time of year, etc. and we are unable to guarantee delivery dates unless confirmed by phone with a representative. We also reserve the right to delay shipping for perishable items if a weekend interrupts the shipping or if extreme weather such as heat in excess of 100 degrees or snow as these perishable items cannot be shipped to sit in a hot warehouse or UPS truck throughout the weekend. If you have any questions about delivery of your order or need date specific delivery please contact us directly BEFORE placing your order.
Next Day, 2nd Day or 3 Day Select Shipping
Please note that this simply means the method of shipment once your order has been created and does NOT mean that your order will be created and shipped 1, 2 or 3 days, nor does it mean your order will receive priority for creation over and above existing orders.
Guaranteed Delivery Dates
We do not guarantee delivery dates for custom made items such as chocolates & cakes unless confirmed in writing prior to order being placed. Please remember we have customers that order custom cakes & chocolates for events up to 12 months in advance so we have certain dates full.
Weather Related Delays:
Please note that UPS does not provide guaranteed delivery in the event of extreme weather conditions or mechanical problems, late trains, planes or trucks, which may cause delays. In the event that your order might be delayed due to the any of the above please contact UPS directly to verify the rescheduled delivery. Please note that UPS and A Bountiful Harvest do not refund shipping due to these such delays.
Please note that UPS does not provide guaranteed delivery in the event of unexpected or random governmental inspections that may cause delays. In the event that your order is delayed due to an unexpected or random governmental inspections please contact UPS directly to verify the rescheduled delivery. Please note that UPS and A Bountiful Harvest do not refund shipping due to these such delays.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the increasing temperatures around the country between the months of March and Mid-October (possibly earlier or later depending upon the outside temperatures at time of shipment) we are unable to ship our chocolates to most states via UPS Ground. If you are shipping your purchase to any zone outside of a UPS 1 day delivery zone (please see UPS map to determine your shipping zone) you MUST select NEXT DAY AIR SHIPPING. You are buying highly perishable products and it is the customers responsibility to select the appropriate shipping method for the weather conditions where the order is being delivered. Please note that all of our chocolates, cakes & cookies are handmade. We make every attempt to fill all orders within 72 hours, however, the turnaround time for filling orders may varies depending on volumes, the items ordered, etc. We may also delay shipping to the following week for perishable items if a weekend interrupts the shipping as these perishable items cannot be shipped to sit in a hot warehouse or UPS truck throughout the weekend. Please be aware that we only offer estimated delivery times. If you have further questions about our delivery schedule please call customer service at 423-876-1922 between 10am – 6pm EST, Monday – Friday.
PLEASE NOTE: That ALL CAKES, CUPCAKES and MUFFINS ship via NEXT DAY AIR ONLY (Chocolate items as well during the previously specified months)! Due to the highly perishable nature of these products there is NO OTHER OPTION for shipment. Pease also note that should you select UPS GROUND, 2nd Day Air or 3 Day Select shipping methods your credit card will be billed the HEAT SAFE PACKAGING CHARGE (please see Heat Safe Packaging Costs above) as WELL AS the ADDITIONAL NEXT DAY AIR SHIPPING CHARGES. If you did in fact select UPS Ground that UPS Ground shipping charge will be deducted from the actual NEXT DAY AIR with HEAT SAFE PACKAGING shipping charges and the remaining balance will be billed to your credit card.
We take pride in creating superior quality products. Each item is inspected at time of packing and shipped in perfect condition. Should an item be damaged during shipping your order is insured. Please keep ALL damaged contents and ALL packaging and contact us immediately at email@example.com or 423-876-1922 in order for us to file a damage claim with UPS and make alternative arrangements for your order. All damaged products MUST BE reported within 24 hours of receipt. Holiday and Peak Season Shipping
Two to three weeks prior to all major holidays is always an extremely busy time for our Chocolatiers, bakers and basket designers. Our normal turn around time often runs from several days to 2 weeks longer then normal. We encourage you to place your holiday orders early as we accept pre-orders for each holiday for up to 6 months prior to each upcoming holiday. Please keep in mind that each item is made by human hands and not machines, and all orders are filled in the order they are received. Ordering a product too close to a holiday does NOT qualify for a refund.
We do not accept any returns, please review our returns policy for further information. We are also unable to accept back any packages that are refused delivery by you or your recipient. Refused packages will NOT be returned back to A Bountiful Harvest as per our contract agreement with UPS; therefore, any refused packages will be discarded by UPS. Refused packages will not be refunded as they do not qualify for a refund.
Please note that no refunds will be provided for orders shipped to incorrect addresses. Due to the perishable nature of our products we are unable to accept any returns. If an order is shipped to an incorrect address UPS will attempt to contact you or your recipient by telephone or postal mail to obtain a correct delivery address. Please note that the delivery address correction fee will be charged to your credit card. In the absence of a reply by you or your recipient UPS will discard the package.
