Maddie wanted bright colors on her topsy turvy cake and we think it came out really cute. When we delivered the cake it all color co-ordinated with the decorations and looked awesome!! Happy 16th Maddie!

There is always something special about creating a cake to celebrate a 50th anniversary. Sadly, few people get to celebrate this remarkable milestone these days and when creating a 50th anniversary cake it always fill you with hope. What was also wonderful about this happy couple was that they had kept their original cake topper from their original wedding cake 50 years earlier and placed it on top of their anniversary cake! This adorable Circus Train cake was to celebrate Collin’s 1st birthday! We think it came out really cute and it looks like Collin really enjoyed it!!!

We had a blast this past weekend creating a creepy but cool Mad Scientist cake for Reilly who was turning 7. Reilly was having his party at the Science Theatre and wanted a Frankenstein themed cake. We decided to take it a step further by creating a mad scientists lab with Frankenstein laying on the table.

When the Chattanooga Racquet Club approached us to make a cake to serve 300 people at a tournament celebration we knew that a plain tennis court or tennis racquet would not make the impression we like to make. So we decided we needed to bring the world’s #1 & #2 players onto the cake by sculpting a mini Rafael Nadal & Roger Federer with gumpaste & fondant. The result was the impression we had hoped for and everybody at the racquet club were amazed to see a huge tennis court cake with Nadal serving to Federer

Here are some pictures of a fun Camouflage cake for a secret spy mission birthday party for  Rémy in Atlanta. We made the little blonde haired boy (front right of the cake) look like Rémy. The cake was completely gluten free even though Rémy is not gluten intolerant. Happy Birthday Rémy!!

We have been shipping our cakes all over the country for years now. To date we have been fortunate and only encountered a small number of problems with the cakes and most of those have been due to UPS or FedEx mishandling or the customer not being home to receive the cake. Since we started shipping our custom decorated cakes it has been very much more challenging to package them safely. For this reason we have tried to limit the amount of delicate design work or the size of the cake that we can ship. We recently received a request for a Winnie the Pooh cake for a baby shower in Virginia. We were not sure it was such a good idea to attempt to ship a cake of this size with each of the characters made out of fondant and gumpaste but the customer insisted they wanted us to make the cake and ship it….so we did! To say that it was a stressful, sleepless night & morning waiting for the delivery confirmation is an understatement. We had packaged the Pooh characters carefully but there was always the concern that maybe it was too much to expect to ship these figurines. When we got the call that everything arrived perfectly intact you can imagine the relief around the bakery!!

Over the past couple of years one of the most frequent requests we receive for new products is for anything dairy free.
